What data we collect

Marketplace Intel does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data stays in your browser.

Data stored locally

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

• Usage count — number of price checks performed today (resets daily)
• Price history — prices of listings you have viewed, for tracking price changes over time
• Subscription status — whether you have a free or Pro account

This data never leaves your browser and is not shared with anyone.

Facebook Marketplace data

The extension reads publicly visible listing information (price, title, location) from Facebook Marketplace pages you visit. This data is used solely to provide price analysis and is not transmitted to any external service.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe via ExtensionPay. Payment information (credit card, billing address) is handled entirely by Stripe and is never accessed by the extension.

Third-party services

• Stripe / ExtensionPay — payment processing only. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

No analytics, tracking, or advertising services are used.

Permissions

• activeTab — detect Facebook Marketplace pages
• storage — save preferences and price history locally
• notifications — send price drop alerts
• Host permission (facebook.com/marketplace) — read listing data for price analysis
